Frequently Asked
Questions
How soon can I access the files
?
Access to files is
generally instant on approval of credit card from Verotel. You
will be emailed a User ID and Password from Verotel for site access.
How secure is the Verotel
system ?
Verotel use 128bit
security to protect your details. For more details see Verotel.
I've just joined
by my membership doesn't work ?
There are several things
to try here :
Make Sure Cookies Are
Enabled - you need to have cookies enabled for the username /
password thing to work properly.
Have You Tried To
Access Files Before - if you tried to access the files before
becoming a member, Verotel might have put a cookie on your computer
blocking your access for 30 min. Its the same cookie that allows
you to only enter your ID / password once every session instead of every
time you want to download a file. Try rebooting your machine and
waiting 30-60 min before trying again.
Cut & Paste User ID /
Password - sometimes when people try to cut and paste their User ID
& Password from the email they are sent, they indivertibly copy a space
at the end of their code. While a black space might not seem like
a big thing to us - its another character to Verotel and of course
causes problems. You will have to reboot your machine, wait 30-60
min and try again.
Contact Verotel
- the above usually fixes about 95% of cases. Other problems are
best solved by contacting Verotel as its usually a glitch in their
system. But it rarely happens nowadays. Most problems are
fixed in 24 hours.
I've
lost my User ID / Password - how do I retrieve them ?
You will be sent an email
from Verotel when you join up. Always save this email in a safe
place for starters.
However if you didn't -
please contact Verotel
to retrieve your details.
How can I cancel my
Verotel membership ?
Although we hate to see
you leave - cancelling membership is easy. Simply go to
cancel.verotel.com
and follow the links.
Will I be added
to any Spam Lists / Newsletters ?
You will not have your
email given / sold / swapped / whatever to any Spam lists by us. I
abhor Spam.
How often do you update files ?
Usually at least once a
week. But often a couple of times. Usually when there is
something good to added it goes up right away. We check multiple
sources daily for the newest hot videos and get them up ASAP.
Where is the "members" area ?
Two answers - there isn't
one & its all the members area !
There are no special
pages or extra areas made available to you when you join. You
simply get access to the videos on the pages that are available for all
people to see.
This allows us to be
completely transparent - you see everything that you can get before you
join - no empty promises about loads of videos or unique content.
You can see the awesome content we have. Joining simply allows you
to "right click" and start downloading files !
Are there any
limits to the files I can download ?
Nope. There are no
file size limits - just the time you have subscribed for.
Will the
files run on Windows / Apple / Linux / other ?
With the right players in
place - YES. I only use Windows XP at home but the files are
mostly standard mpegs, wma, avi, ra or mov files. Nothing special
that wont run on other OS's. You just need to make sure you have a
media player that will play them and is up-to-date. In 5 years of
doing this I've not heard of files not playing on a computer simply
because it was Linux or whatever.
What do I need
to run the files ? Which players ?
You need an UP-TO-DATE
player to play the latest files.
Microsoft's
excellent Media Player 9 will play most files here. HOWEVER you
may need to update your version to play some of the newer mpegs using
DivX.
The mpeg format is
constantly being upgraded and improved so we get better quality files
all the time. However to play the newer mpegs you need to download
and install the latest DivX codec's from
www.divx.com This is a
very easy thing to do so don't stress. DivX also have a nice DivX
player but I personally don't bother.
Another player that might
be needed is Apple's
excellent QuickTime player.
A few of the older files
may also need Real Audio's
Real One Player.
I am having trouble
playing the files ?
SMACK - Update your
player !
All files on the site
have been viewed on my computer using Microsoft's Media Player or
Apple's QuickTime. But every now and then the newer files won't
work. Go to www.divx.com and get
latest codec's.
